When you spend time overseas – you’re bound to be confronted by cultural differences.

Foreign food, fashion and language might be differences to expect. But what’s it like to live in a place with politics very different to your own?

Soraya Smalla is from Berlin and is part of the radical left. She’s currently living in Hungary where populist right-wing Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, is ruling the country with a very different style of politics to her own.

How does Soraya view her political role in Hungary? And what lessons will she take home with her?
