A matyó rózsa: népi díszítményből divatmotívum
A divatantropológia podcast ezúttal a hagyományőrzés és a népművészet jelenlegi helyzetére irányítja a figyelmet. A 21. században a globalizáció és a divatipar új kontextusba helyezte a hagyományos díszítményeket és a népi formakincset. Az alkotóktól, dizájnerektől a hagyományőrzőkön át a hobbi-hímzőkig, vásárlókig hosszú a sor, kik szeretnék kivenni a részüket a hagyományból. Kérdés azonban, mit tudunk egy adott népi forma- vagy motívumkincs jelentőségéről, eredeti környezetéről? Egyáltalán, miért is fontos ez a tudás? Mindezekről a matyó népművészet bölcsőjében, Mezőkövesden beszélgethettem Pap Julianna Bernadettel, a Matyó Népművészeti Egyesület elnökével.
